Bubble Worlds
I was honoured to contribute the sonic element to Bubble Worlds, a collaborative installation developed by <Code>Your Future alongside computational artist brother_ Sjur and soft robotics researchers Azadeh Shariati and Helge Wurdemann. The work took the form of a breathing, cocoon-like bamboo structure, an environment shaped by projections, soft-robotic motion, and generative sound.
For the soundtrack, I composed a layered sonic landscape where ambient drones and deep bass interact with fragments of spoken word. Voices of refugees, reading lines from William Blake’s Auguries of Innocence in their native languages, surface and fade like tides within the composition. Their words carry resilience, loss, and the quiet persistence of hope.
The result is a sonic meditation on presence and vulnerability — on the shared undercurrents of isolation and connection, felt most deeply in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.
