The Sound of Crows

A good friend and frequent collaborator asked me to write a soundscape for them. They wanted to use it for their PhD application. The brief was to create something haunting, mixing field recordings of crows, spoken word, and a soundscape I would create. I love doing this sort of work as it combines the elements of creation with a fixed focus- write the music but use the crows and the words. The work was well received, and my friend was accepted into his PhD program.
